Human Rights Campaign Rock to Win- One event I was able to attend while at the Democratic National Convention was the HRC Concert Rock to Win featuring many performers including Kansas's own Melissa Etheridge, Cindy Lauper, frequent Kansas visitor Rufus Wainwright, Thelma Houston, and Margaret Cho.
The concert began with a short press conference where all agreed that young voters were essential to the election in November. Cindy Lauper said it was important for all people to vote, and that was a key component for her concert with the HRC as well as her national True Colors tour.
A Lie Repeated...- I've often stated, and I firmly believe, as I seem to be proven correct, that a lie repeated, may be accepted as fact, but the truth repeated, becomes self evident.
So what are we waiting for??
As the "Drill here! Drill now!" crowd repeat their pro oil meme daily in the MSM, and the pundits go all bobbly-headed in support of their misleading and insane ideas... as seen in this nauseating video...
Anchors for Progressives- Imagine people randomly divided into two groups for a simple psychology experiment. Those assigned to one group are asked two questions. First, “Did Gandhi die before or after he reached the age of 140?” And then, “How old was Gandhi when he died?” Meanwhile, those in the other group are asked the same followup question, but their first question is “Did Gandhi die before or after he reached the age of 9?”
