Here is Hillary Clintons' announcement from YouTube.
Clinton, Hillary
The Aftermath
Submitted by cabaretic on Wed, 08/27/2008 - 11:52.Hillary Clinton, quite surprisingly to me, gave the best speech of her life last night on the second night of the convention. The New York senator did much to rehabilitate her image and radiated a kind of warmth and personality that would have worked greatly to her advantage had we seen it during the primary season. To some extent, the fact that she did a good job isn't totally surprising. Her concession speech in June showed her potential to deliver a good message. Provided rest and time to hone her rhetorical skills, Clinton can be an effective orator. Put on the spot and without adequate prep time and she is a bland, dull speaker.

The Symbolic "Heroism" of Hating Hillary Clinton
Submitted by Jacob Freeze on Fri, 05/16/2008 - 18:00.Hillary Rodham Clinton is demonized every day on a hundred or a thousand blogs and in a hundred or a thousand editorials as "Hitlery KKKlinton," the death-mongering anti-Christ of American politics. Where did this craziness come from?
It doesn't originate with Barack Obama. Whatever his real flaws as a candidate may be, including some surreptitious hanky-panky with the race card, his message is still relatively positive. Senator Obama may be vacuous, but it would be ridiculous to call him a hater.
It seems to me that two related factors have produced the unprecedented tsunami of hate-speech directed at Hillary Clinton:

This is a 'Change' Election, not a 'Throwback' Election.

Congratulations to Hillary Clinton and her supporters for the win in West Virginia.
Clinton netted 137,410 of the popular vote.
Many estimated that West Virginians would vote upwards or over 500,000 to 600,000, but that was not the case.
The turnout was lower.
Moving on....

Hillary’s Favorite Fallacies
Submitted by Jim Fetzer on Thu, 04/24/2008 - 22:21.Abstract. Any student of logic has to be astonished that the five most important arguments being advanced on behalf of Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination are fallacious. Some of them, such as that, since she prevailed over Obama in certain large states, such as Pennsylvania, Obama would be unable to win those states in the general election, are even being featured on the front page of The New York Times. But that Obama lost to Hillary in the primary does not mean he would lose to John McCain in the general election. The best reasons for Hillary could not pass scrutiny in a freshman course on critical thinking.

On Taking One For The Team, Or, Hillary’s “Sniper” Truth Revealed
Submitted by fake consultant on Tue, 04/15/2008 - 12:06.There has been much made of Hillary Clinton’s recent Bosnian “sniper” incident, and many who have a lower opinion of her as a result.
For the first time ever, we can now reveal in this space that far from being untruthful, Senator Clinton in fact has taken a major political hit in order to protect an important national security program…the existence of which she has not been in a position to reveal.
Through the use of secret anonymous sources we will reveal the surprising reality…the “rest of the story”, if you will—and although you may be shocked, you probably won’t be surprised.

On Confusion, Or, What’s The Point?
Submitted by fake consultant on Thu, 04/03/2008 - 17:38.As has been indicated before in this space, I am far too addicted to television…and most of the time, even when the sound is off it’s still there to be seen.
But it’s so often confusing.
Here’s an example:
There is an ad running these days for a product called “extend” or “super grow” or “bigs a lot” or whatever the heck it’s called…and while the ad takes great pains to tell us that it can cause a “certain part” of the body to grow larger—it never exactly tells us which part they’re talking about.
Clearly, there are some body parts that it might make sense for someone to enlarge; but the commercial is so vague I just can’t tell what they’re getting at.
It’s that sort of confusion that drives today story…so come along and we’ll pursue the question of what a “make it bigger” product might actually do…and more.
